It's a very good question. How do we really define ourselves? If I said I was a middle-aged mother of two, I think you'd have COMPLETELY the wrong image of me in your head.
I'm an introverted, over-thinking, socially awkward book worm.
I'm a gregarious, city-loving, bar-hopping, salsa dancing queen.
I'm Japanese.
I'm British to the marrow.
I love Crossfit (mad military-style crosstraining for those uninitiated).
I'm a duvet-addicted lazybones.
I'm passionate about wholesome, nutritious, delicious food. The body is a temple.
I stuff my temple with family size packets of crisps when the mood takes me.
I love people, and enjoy a good chat with friends.
I cannot deal with people - the only living being I can stand is my cat.
We are all a bundle of contradictions - or maybe it's just me. Writing a blog will hopefully help me find out a bit more about myself, and I might even entertain some people on the way. Being a weird hybrid of different nationalities has been, throughout my life, my all-encompassing, frustrating, fascinating nemesis. I welcome interactions from others out there who can identify with me because, despite my rational mind assuring me it must be otherwise, I often feel like I am the ONLY person on the planet with these particular conflicts and challenges.
So, my intention is to try and write every single day for 365 days, and see how that goes... I know it's going to be mad, fitting that in amongst the school run, my job, cooking, and washing - but I instinctively feel I will learn something from it. Hope you join me sometimes on my rambling journey.
